Robert Brown is a seasoned patent attorney and intellectual property (IP) lawyer who obtains and protects patents, design patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets for a range of clients and referral sources.
He works closely with clients to understand their objectives and provides tailored counsel and advice regarding patentability, patent validity, infringement, and for all other IP issues.
In the software, computer, electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications fields, Robert:
- Counsels and advises clients on a full range of IP issues.
- Prosecutes U.S. and foreign patents and other IP assets.
- Provides written opinions.
- Creates and negotiates a range of licenses and agreements for the development, partnering, manufacture, and marketing of intellectual property.
- Develops trade secret protection programs, and procedures for internal and external invention submissions.
- Provides guidance on both defense and enforcement actions involving IP, including Post-Grant Inter Partes Review Proceedings.
Robert also assists clients in trademark and copyright matters including registering and enforcing trademarks and copyrights.
Prior to joining Conley Rose, P.C. Robert spent several years working with a leading international law firm in their intellectual property practice in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a patent agent during law school. Prior to attending law school, Robert Brown worked for five years as a computer programmer and systems analyst.
