Conley Rose is proud to announce the opening of its new office in Alexandria, Virginia and the election of Alan Thiemann as a Principal of the firm as a part of that office. We are excited at the unique opportunity to have added a highly experienced group of attorneys and staff who bring experience and relationships with some of our oldest and best clients as well as enhancing the skills of our IP Centered firm with a Privacy Cybersecurity and Testing practice which provides IP and tech related services in a constantly evolving area needed by so many of our clients.
Principal Alan Thiemann anchors the Alexandria office as lead of the Privacy Cybersecurity & Testing team. Alan brings nearly 50 years of experience to the firm, involving government service, in-house counsel for trade associations, and private practice. As manager of the firm’s Privacy Cybersecurity & Testing practice, Alan advises clients on the evolving developments in US and international privacy, data security, and artificial intelligence laws and regulations. He presently serves as outside general counsel to an international trade association, a retail technology standards development organization, and an international testing organization.
Of Counsel Donna McPartland is a member of the firm’s Privacy Cybersecurity & Testing practice group and has over 20 years of legal experience. Her practice focuses on providing global data privacy and security counseling for a wide array of clients. Donna works with clients in a practical way to address their priorities and find workable solutions to their privacy and security compliance needs by providing strategic counsel and advice to help develop, implement, and maintain global data privacy and security programs.
Of Counsel Daniel Stanger adds 35 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications to the Conley Rose team. Dan’s core experience includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications in electrical, mechanical, communications, and software technologies. Dan is fluent in all phases of patent procurement, from invention harvesting and inventor counseling through appellate practice at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He also, brings extensive experience with Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and foreign patent practice.
Senior Attorney Sam Williams is a Patent Attorney that brings nearly two decades of engineering and legal experience specializing in electronics and software with cybersecurity applications. Sam represents a key blend of technical ability and extensive preparation and prosecution expertise.
Rounding out the group is Senior Financial Analyst Brent Marble who brings over 25 years patent paralegal experience and Legal Assistant Sarah Feten who brings 10 years of patent paralegal and support experience to the firm.
